When you make a call, you may have to supply data, for example if you have called another customer service or a telephone bank. Handling calls in CallGuide Agent you can’t use the buttons on the telephone. Instead you to open the CallGuide Agent DTMF function.
DTMF is only available when a call is connected.
Activate DTMF via the main menu with the Contact handling | DTMF menu choice or with the CtrN shortcut or via the quick buttons in CallGuide Agent main window
Opens a keypad to use for sending tones to the phone during a call in progress.
The button is completely grey. The function is not available at the moment.
You can also control the DTMF with the numeric pad on your keyboard, using the 0 to 9 digits.
For * (asterisk) use x (the multiplication button) and for # (hash) use Enter.
Valid characters are 0-9, *, #. Invalid characters are filtered away by CallGuide.
If you are working in other Windows applications, you have the option of copying symbols from them and then paste the symbols you want to send, into the field at the bottom of the DTMF window.
Or you can place your cursor in the field and use the CtrlV shortcut command using your keyboard or right-click in the field and select Paste in the opened context menu.
You can also copy symbols you have sent to another Windows application by selecting them in the field, right-clicking and selecting Copy.
Or you use the CtrlC shortcut command using your keyboard.
When you have finished with the DTMF function, click on Close. The support function for DTMF is automatically closed when a call is ended.
